Wine and food have been together for millennia, throughout history in almost every culture wine has been drank and more recently matched with food.
Food and wine should complement and enhance each other, and nothing more quintessential or enhancing is cured meats (Charcuterie) and cheeses. We serve boards laden with over a dozen types of both matched with all manner of delicious wines.
Our charcuterie and cheeses are regularly rotated to reflect seasonal trends, much like red wine is preferred in cold winter months and white wine in summer…
Many of our cheeses are locally sourced wherever possible from small farms and producers, these are the bounties of Oxfordshire and rare breed pigs for our pork pies and scratchings.
We only use quality suppliers such as Aubrey Allen who is by Appointment to her majesty the Queen, can’t be bad!!
